Summary: De-En Dictionary has no accounts and does not collect personal data. Your searches, history and favourites stay on your device. We never sell data.

1. Who we are

De-En Dictionary is developed and operated by Sandithi. This policy covers the De-En Dictionary Android app and the De-En Dictionary web app. Our other app, SprachCoach, has its own privacy policy. Questions: hello@sandithi.com.

2. Information we collect

We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts or any other personal information. There is no registration and no login.

The following data is created and stored only on your device and is never sent to us:

You can delete this data at any time with Settings → Clear history, by clearing the app's data, or by uninstalling the app.

3. Microphone and voice search

The app asks for microphone permission only when you tap the voice search button. Voice search uses the speech recognition service built into your phone (for example Google on Android or Apple on iPhone). That service may process your voice according to its own privacy policy, and may do so on your device or on its servers depending on your phone's settings. Sandithi does not receive or store any audio.

4. Pronunciation and sentence translation

5. Online features

All core dictionary lookups work offline. When you are online, the app may request optional extras (such as additional example sentences) for the word you are viewing. In that case only the word itself is sent, without any personal identifier, and it is not linked to you.

6. Third-party services

The free version contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools.

7. Future Pro version

We plan to offer an optional paid Pro version with AI features. If you choose to use it, payments will be handled by Google Play (or a payment provider on our website), and AI requests will be processed through our secure server. We will update this policy before any Pro feature is released and explain clearly what data it uses.

8. Children's privacy

De-En Dictionary is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

9. Dictionary content

Dictionary entries include content from Wiktionary (CC BY-SA 4.0) and example sentences from the Tatoeba project (CC BY 2.0 FR). This content is bundled in the app; using it does not share any information about you.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
